The journey to Mount Dempo is now very easy. We can enter through various modes of transportation.
Mount Dempo is located in the Pagar Alam district, 310 km West of Palembang. To get to this site, you can use a rented car or a bus, as the trip will last for about 7 hours.
The starting point for hiking is at the PTPN III tea processing factory. You can ask the locals around the facility to take you to the nearest village on the foot of Mount Dempo,which is called Kampung Empat.
The condition of the infrastructure is getting better. Starting from highways, airports, trails, ports, bridges, stairs, even some places can be reached by toll roads.
We can visit by plane, car, ship, bus, motorcycle and bicycle. At some point, we can take the train. We can also walk freely.
